May 3, 2012 IndieGogo Campaign success, thanks, and a new friend

Hi everybody,

Now that our IndieGoGo campaign has ended successfully, I wanted to send out a big huge huggy THANK YOU to everyone involved in DupFest and the compensation for the loss of my equipment back in February. Between the campaign, the benefit, a little insurance money (emphasis on little, the bastards…), and many generous donations of equipment (Jeremy, Thomas, Donnie, Jonathan, and my brother Lee, who built me two pedals), I’ve financially recovered about what I lost, give or take a few hundred dollars- which is amazing! I haven’t felt so grateful for friends, family and my community for a long time. I have already bought back a lot of the things that were lost and easily replaceable, so I’m ready to move on…

In fact, if you haven’t seen my new guitar, I’ve attached a picture. She’s a beautiful 2000(ish) Rickenbacker 330 Semi Hollow Body. I’ve got a lead on finding a bass very similar to the Univox I lost- and at a steal of a price, too. So soon all will be a little more settled and I can go about making music again.

Again: thank, thank, thank you for being so incredibly supportive exactly when I needed it. I hope to share some new music with you all by the end of the year so you can hear the fruits of your generosity.
