Sweat bands, balloons, potions…
After such a relaxed pace of writing and recording for the past year plus, it feels nice to be busy again. There is a lot of Santo Soledad action to be had lately between finishing the new record A CRACK IN THE SNOW MORTAR, shooting a stop-motion video for the new single SIMPLE HORRORS, and trying to resurrect the live show again (fingers crossed, Fortuna).
Been running around the last few days collecting/making props for this new video! Who knew I’d ever need to spray paint a balloon. Or collect Sacagaweas. Or wear a wife beater.
We start shooting tomorrow at some woods I explored a lot as a kid- the beautiful Wolfe’s Neck State Park.
If you’d like to keep up to date, I’ve been updating the Twitter account more than anything lately. Follow me here and you’ll be blessed with many beautiful photographs by Brendan Bullock along the way.
I’ll have a date for that album release soon…and some artwork. Promise.

Video shoot
In July, I’m teaming up with my friend and esteemed photographer Brendan Bullock to shoot a video for the new Saint Solitude single “Simple Horrors.” As is always the case with making a music video (as far as I’ve experienced), the process will be experimental first and foremost. I’m also counting on having a really fun time doing it. I love trying out new ideas to accompany my music, and I’m especially excited at any chance to do collaborative work, since my music is made primarily alone.
That being said, we’re looking for actors, actresses, and extras to help us with the shoot around Portland, ME. Please contact me at booking@saintsolitude.com if you’d be interested in making our project come to life!
Cheers,
Dup
