Saint Solitude To Release Two New Albums in 2013
Portland, ME, U.S.A. – January 23rd, 2013 – Saint Solitude, the longstanding and ever-shifting musical project of Dup Crosson, announced today plans to release not one, but two new albums of music in 2013. The as-yet-untitled records will consist of new material that Crosson has penned since the release of his colorful 2011 sophomore effort, By Some Great Storm.
2012 found Saint Solitude touring up and down the East Coast as a quartet for the first time. More recently, Crosson left his live band and longtime home in Asheville, NC to return to his native state of Maine. “The decision to move back to New England has been on my mind for years, mixed with both the excitement of finding new potential in the familiar, and the subtle fear of being haunted by the past,” Crosson says with a laugh. “I can already hear that dynamic, that curiosity, taking shape in these songs.”
These releases will also mark the first time Crosson has been a free agent since the release of his debut album, Journal of Retreat.

Saint Solitude specializes in “bittersweet fuzz” and was formed by Dup Crosson in 2006. Over the years, the project has grown from its timid beginnings, progressing from a loop-based, country-crossing one-man touring outfit to a dynamic garage pop 4-piece. These days you can find Crosson focused on the recording side of things in the seaside solace of Portland, ME.
